First Female World Cup 2011 - XIII Trofeo Alfredo Binda and the Students of Local Schools

27 March 2011 Cittiglio - An Opportunity for Education

In occasion of the XIII Trofeo Binda, the primary and secondary schools' children of Cittiglio, Gemonio, Cocquio Trevisago, Brenta and Azzio will be involved into an important project that will concerne bicycle study, road education and cycling.
This will be a way to sensitize children and to draw them to this sport, that is loved by a great number of people in our region.
The project "Pedala, pedala... In sicurezza" will be divided into different moments: it will begin with the organizer's introduction to the children, then they will visit the "A. Binda" museum in Cittiglio, with the mountain community's cultural operators.
There will also be interventions in the classrooms, about themes connected with cycling (cyclist nutrition, doping, the most important routes of the main cycle races and old newspapers's services) and interventions of the local police about road education.
On March, 26 the school's children will make a challenge that will take place in the comunal park station in Cittiglio, while on March, 27 a free dexterity circuit for school children will be fitted out.
Finally, school children's works will be shown.
